NEXT: March 30 - April 3, 2009
University
of Arkansas, Fayetteville
The
short course will provide participants a broad understanding of
how the modern United States poultry industry operates, an opportunity
to interact with some of the top poultry science faculty in the
world and hands-on experiences to reinforce classroom learning. |
 |
Field trips will also allow participants to view production and
processing principles in action as well as interact with industry
officials. Participants will not be experts in poultry science at
the conclusion of the short course. However, participants will have
a general framework of understanding on how the U. S. poultry industry
operates. This framework of understanding will provide participants
with the basis for deeper understanding of the poultry industry
following the short course.
The
short course allows participants to learn a great deal about the
poultry industry in a short period of time, thus saving them the
time, effort and expense involved learning via the "school of hard
knocks."
Tuition
costs for the short course cover lodging, laboratory materials,
ground transportation, proceedings of the course and every meal
except the evening meal. This structure will allow participants
to focus on getting the most out of the short course rather than
wondering about accommodations or food.
The
short course is held in April this year at the
Center of Excellence for Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas.
We look forward to working with you and the course participants
to provide a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience.
