Dr. Dustan Clark

Dr. Clark graduated in 1980 from Texas A&M University with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He then practiced in Texas before entering a residency program in avian medicine at the University of California Veterinary School at Davis. After his residency, he returned to Texas A&M University in 1982 and received an M.S. degree in Veterinary Microbiology in 1984. Dr. Clark received the C.S. Edson Award for Excellence in Research on Avian Diseases in 1987 while on the faculty at Texas A&M University. He received his Ph.D. in 1991 in Veterinary Pathobiology from Texas A&M University. His dissertation research involved reovirus pathogenicity and genomic comparisons. Dr. Clark was director of the Utah State University Provo Branch Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory from 1988 to 1994. He also was supervisor of the Utah National Poultry Improvement Program and Extension Veterinarian (avian species) in the Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Science Department of Utah State University. Dr. Clark is a diplomate of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians.

Dr. Clark joined the Poultry Science faculty of the University of Arkansas in 1994 as Assistant Professor/Extension Poultry Health Veterinarian. His research interests include reoviruses, rotaviruses, and avian diagnostics. He is also responsible for working with the poultry industry on disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
