Services

The DNA Resource Center uses ABI 3100 and Beckman CEQ 8000 genetic analyzers to provide automated DNA sequencing. The facility also offers training in molecular biology techniques and instrumentation.     

Services Available include:
• DNA Sequencing – plasmids and PCR products
• Fragment analysis – microsatellites, AFLP
• SNP genotyping 

Instruments available for use include:
• Hydra II liquid handling robot
• M.J. Research gradient thermal cyclers (Tetrad and Dyad PCR machines)
• Genomic Solutions Microgrid Array Printer
• Fujifilm Luminescent Image Analyzer
• ABI 7300 Sequence Detector (Real-Time PCR)
• AXON 5um DNA Array Scanner
• Analysis software for data obtained from each of the units
