Everyone interested in using the Confocal microscope must undergo training by the Resource Center staff before they will be permitted to use the equipment. One formal training session will be held during the first month of each semester. Interested faculty, students and staff must provide a valid Cost Center number to which an initial user fee of $200 will be charged. Please contact Dr. Sha Jin (sjin@uark.edu) to enroll in a training session. Hourly Charges:

The current service contract expires in May of 2008. The estimated cost of renewing the service contract for 1 year is $25,300.00. Accordingly, beginning May 15, 2007, all users will be charged $25 per hour to use the confocal microscope. The proceeds from this hourly user’s fee will be accumulated in an account designated to pay for the service contract.
